This is a folk song and was used in this movie whose story is linked to the two Punjab area of countries India and Pakistan. It is believed in some parts of Himachal Pradesh that if a crow is sitting near to your home and making noise that is an omen of  somebody coming to your home soon in the near future. This song is fit for the movie because the two of the lovers are in the movie are not allowed to continue their love life normal due to the fight between the two nations, and their difference in religion. So they are talking to a crow who is sitting near to them, and ask him to send the message to their beloved. This song has beautiful lyrics mixed in Hindi and Punjabi and a melody of its own. The music of this movie and the movie itself was a very big hit when it was released in 2001. There also was some protest against the movie due to the story of the movie, showing a Hindu guy taking up a Muslim girl from Pakistan to India. The story was much like by the Indian people.
